Birth Photography vs Wedding Photography

I started Birth Photography in 2016. I remember people asking me why I didn’t do Wedding Photography. I honestly wasn’t too interested in it. My focus ever since I moved to Massachusetts was Birth, Motherhood and Families.

Birth photography and Wedding Photography are two different types of photography that capture two of life's most important moments. I am a big believer that if you hire a wedding photographer, you should also hire a birth photographer. I mean when you think about it, you’ll only be having your baby/babies once and it is such a unique and raw moment. No one is saying that you need to share it with the world, but you so need to share it with yourself years from now.

Let’s boil down into each type of Photography and why they are both so important!

**Birth photography**

The miracle of birth unfolds in a whirlwind of emotion, raw power, and fleeting moments. It's a symphony of gasps, cries, and whispered encouragements, punctuated by the breathtaking arrival of your precious little one. In the blink of an eye, it's over, leaving you with a bundle of joy and a memory that deserves to be etched in time. This is where a birth photographer comes in.

* **Documentary:** Birth photography is a documentary style of photography that captures the birth of a child. This can be a very intimate and personal experience, and birth photographers are trained to be sensitive and respectful of the parents and their wishes.

* **Unpredictable:** In comparison to Weddings, Birth photography is unpredictable, as you never know how long or how difficult the labor will be. This can be a challenge for photographers, but it also makes birth photography a very exciting and rewarding type of photography.

* **Emotional:** Birth photography is an emotional experience for everyone involved. The parents are experiencing the joy of welcoming a new child into the world, and the photographer is capturing this special moment in time.

**Wedding photography**
Your love story deserves a masterpiece. From the whispered promises of "I do" to the tearful joy of welcoming your firstborn, each milestone is a brushstroke on the canvas of your life together. Hiring a wedding and birth photographer isn't just about preserving memories; it's about elevating them into heirlooms of the heart, radiating with emotion and whispering stories across generations.

* **Celebration:** Wedding photography is a celebration of love and commitment. Wedding photographers capture the joy and excitement of the wedding day, from the ceremony to the reception.

* **Planned:** Wedding photography is a planned event, with the photographer working with the couple to create a photo shoot that reflects their style and personality.

* **Memories:** Wedding photography is a way to preserve the memories of a special day. The photos can be cherished by the couple and their family and friends for years to come.
